Bing Maps + Sql Database + Silverlight

Hi Dinesh

i currently have a sql databse that is populated with vehicle ids, passenger counter information, fare information, fare pricing, driver and shift information, etc.

i get this data via a gps/gprs modem that is attached to a vehicle pc via a serial port.

i would like assistance with a website that can display this information on a bing map,

the map should have markers that indicate the position of the vehicle and if you click on the marker it should pop-up with the geocode address. alongside the map i would like a table that displays the rest of the information in the sql database.

i have a server that has a public ip and can allow remote access to.

please advise if you can assist me with this and what requirements i need to have on the server.

To display the location on the bing map you really need longitude and latitude. Are you getting longitude and latitude from the modem?

If you are getting then it will be very easy to display them on the bing map. You can refer below article to display them on bing map using silvelight. http://beyondrelational.com/blogs/dinesh/archive/2010/07/13/bing-map-binding-with-sql-server-database.aspx

If you are not getting longitude and latitude then you need to find out a way to get those information..

i am getting the longitude and latitude details.

i have looked at the article but i seem to be having a bit of trouble with the silverlight part.

i will be building up a new server with new databases and try again.

if i get stuck can you offer remote assistance?
