SQL Server 2012 released!

Mar 6 2012 12:00AM by James Serra

Exciting news!  Microsoft announced today that SQL Server 2012 has released to manufacturing (RTM). Customers and partners can download an evaluation (or here) of the product today and can expect general availability to begin on April 1.

If you’re an MSDN/TechNet subscriber, you can download it as of March 7.  If you’re a volume-license customer, you can download it from the Volume Licensing Center on April 1.

Tomorrow, don’t forget to attend the SQL Server 2012 Virtual Launch Event, featuring keynotes by Ted Kummert and Quentin Clark and a number of video presentations about SQL Server 2012 by other SQL Server experts.

Other downloads that are RTM ready:

  • SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) has been RTM’d.  You can download SSDT today
