How to create a new blog?
This is actually very simple. It only takes a few seconds to create a new blog. All you need is to go to the blogs section and click on the button Create your own blog
This will take you to the blog information page, where you can fill the basic information and your blog will be ready in a few seconds.
At this stage your blog is ready. Your blog will not be visible publicly (to other readers) until a moderator reviews and approves it. This usually happens in a few hours and you will be notified by an email when done.
However, you dont need to wait. You can go ahead and create blog posts.
Creating a new post
There are two ways you can do this. You can either create a post directly on the web site or use Windows Live Writer (a blog writing tool - desktop application). Let us first see how to create a new post from the web.
Click on the posts link on the middle-top of the screen and select New Post
This will open the post editor window, which is a WYSIWYG HTML editor which allows you to create your blog posts.
How to set up Windows Live Writer with your blog?
Windows live writer is a desktop application that allows you to create blog posts and publish them directly to your blog. Nakul has written a blog post that explains how to set up your blog with Windows Live Writer. Please follow the instructions in his post to set this up.
Promoting your blog
After you have your blog set up, you can promote your blog further by inviting your friends to like it. This can be done through the invite friends option available on the left side panel.
This opens up a page that allows you to invite your friends at beyondrelational.com, your google contacts or specific people by providing their email addresses.
