If you happen to post a comment on any of the posts, you may have felt a bit annoyed seeing that your comment is waiting for moderation. This change is part of a recent update we did with a goal to reduce the amount of spam comments we receive.
Please note that you may see this difficulty for only a short period because the system will automatically collect intelligent data about various activities and flag you as a verified user which will entitle you to post comments without moderation.
How does it work?
When a new user posts a comment, it goes into the moderation queue by default. The comment will show as below.

The comment will be visible publicly only after a moderator/owner approves the comment.
Approving a comment
A user with moderator permissions can approve a comment by clicking on the edit link which provides a user interface as given below.

This allows the moderator to approve the comment as well as flagging the user as verified. Once a user is flagged as verified, his/her future comments do not need approval within the given section.
Becoming verified
There are different levels of verified users. By default all users will be unverified. A user will be promoted to verified based on the activities the moderators take while approving their comments.
- When a moderator selects future comments of this user does not require approval, the user becomes verified for that section. Any future comments in that section will be visible right a way. (A section here means an area within a module. for example, SQL Server Tips is a section within Just learned
- When a user is verified in 3 different sections of a module, he/she will become verified user at the module level. When a user is verified at the module level, he/she can post comments in any section within that module without moderation.
- When a user is verified in 3 different modules, he/she will become globally verified user and can post comments anywhere in the website without moderation.
- The website administrators will flag users as module/global verified users from time to time when they notice appropriate activity from users.
Please note
Please note the goal here is NOT to restrict you, but improve the user experience and quality. So the above items are not absolute rules. Many of you who are active contributors of beyondrelational.com should not really require any type of moderation.
If you notice that you are incorrectly flagged for moderation, send an email to webmaster@beyondrelational.com and we can right away flag you as verified
Feedback
We are eager to hear what you think about this and are open to make necessary changes to make this even better.
