As you know I have started a new series on "Exploring SSMS" by which I will be posting some features that are available in SSMS which will be very helping during the development. In this post we will see how to filter the objects in the object explorer.
Suppose you have many tables in the database and you want to list out only the tables contain some specific word say "emp". Instead of scrolling all the way to identify them, you can apply filter options to list out them.
Follow these steps
Databases-->Your_db-->Tables-->Filter--Filter Settings
Filter settings window will be shown where you can enter emp at the value column of the first row (where property is Name) and Click ok.Other posts that come under Exploring SSMSEnabling Save ChangesEnable/disable intellisenseConnecting to msdn forums or submitting your feedback to connect
