Getting Started with Photoshop - Part 9: Adding Typogrpahy

For the final touches we're going to add some nice typography. You'll want to grab the typeface BEBAS. Just do a quick Google search and you'll find it. No problem.

What we want to add first is add the word CHE IS RY with four spaces in between E, and I. And with three spaces between R and Y.

Use your type tool to create this. I made my type size 50pt. Click anywhere on the document and begin typing with the typeface being BEBAS

It should look like this now.

Now let's add the remaining letters, by again using the type tool. This time we are going to make two. Set the size of the type to 25pt, and click in between the “E” and “I”

They should be something like this, but we want them aligned perfect. So let's zoom in to about 150%.

Go to View > Rulers to bring up our rulers, Click and drag from the ruler and it will bring down a Cyan guide. Set this guide like the image below.

Now click on the M layer and align it centered with the base of the M on top of the guide. Also do this with the T afterwards.

Set all three layers to 75% opacity. You're final outcome, and design is complete!
