Default fonts on win7 and win xp affects UI rendering in WPF application

The default font for english language in win xp is type-'Tahoma' size-11 The default font for english language in win 7 is type-'Segoe UI' size-12

This will be useful if you came across issues in UI compatibility in win7 and win xp.

One solution can be setting one fixed font types in controls where it is not set .

  • Hi Jacob,

    This I found while solving compatibility issue in my project .We hav a WPF win application initially built in XP. But when new users came and they used it in win 7 some UI rendered differently. For eg. size of textbox remain same but some text in that textbox was hiding etc.
