Aug 21 2011 11:33PM by Sandeep Prajapati

I just came to know that "Hindi" is not india's national Language. Even according to constitution, there is no national language for India.

Article 343 of the constitution specifies that the official language of the India is Hindi in Devanagari script.

in a quiz competition, I came to know the fact and found online article in wikipedia.

  • Yes, you are right. In academic books also, its mentioned as Devanagari Hindi only...However, many people don't know the difference between devanagari Hindi and General Hindi. So, gradually it became hindi....

    Good to remind this again...

  • I knew this already. Good to be reminded. In a country like India, single language cannot become National language.
