During the recent CTD @ Ahmedabad (http://beyondrelational.com/blogs/nakul/archive/2011/06/06/community-tech-days-tech-ed-on-the-road-is-back-in-ahmedabad-june-11-2011-register-now.aspx), we had a nice Demo Extravaganza session from Dhananjay Kumar, a Microsoft MVP.
Dhananjay has been researching the Windows 7 phones for quite some time, and in the Demo session, he presented how Windows 7.1 Mango will transform mobile computing by introducing multi-threading & parallel processing for 3rd party applications on a Windows phone.
During the session, one of the audience members asked a question - "Why is the Windows 7.1 phone code named "Mango"?". We had the priviledge of having Harish Vaidyanathan, who leads Microsoft Evangelism in India. He shared with us that the Windows phone team has had a tradition to end all code names with an "o".
Although by complete coincidence, the King of Fruits has made it's way into the digital world!
