TheFacebook.com (which is facebook.com now) went live on Wednesday afternoon, Feb 4 2004 hosted by Manage.com. Mark Zuckerberg, its founder got User ID 4 because the first 3 were test accounts. In 4 days, over 650 Harvard students registered. In 3 weeks the membership grew to over 6,000 and the initial hosting expense was 85$ a month.
