Firefox: There's a "Do not Track" feature that strives to protect your privacy on web

I just learned that In Firefox there is a "Do not track" privacy feature. When you switch it on it sends a signal (via HTTP header) to websites that you do want to be tracked. Though, setting this option does not "Enforce" the website to not track you - it's just a signal that the website can choose to "honor". Interesting idea though!
