Looking at it from a real world perspective, an overlap is an issue if a nurse has to see 2 patients at once. If the bookings are with the same patient, then that's not so much an overlap. The nurse can cover both bookings without needing to be in 2 places

I know this is the last minute, but I would imagine another requirement would be that an appointment at 2 overlapping times with the same patient is not considered an overlap.

I don't believe this challenge has a logical solution. I've been looking at it and thinking it over for the last few days now, and this is the conclusion I've come to. Not simply because I can't solve it, but because of the nature of the constraints placed
