Clear data from a table with FOREIGN KEY

I was trying to truncate a child table data and got the below error.
'Cannot truncate table <tablename> because it is being referenced by a FOREIGN KEY constraint'
From MSDN found that
"You cannot use TRUNCATE TABLE on a table referenced by a FOREIGN KEY constraint; instead, use DELETE statement without a WHERE clause".
