TSQL Challenges is turning 2 years old!
This week is very special for us because TSQL Challenges is turning 2 years old by the end of this week. The first TSQL Challenge was published on the last week of February 2009 and this week we published TSQL Challenge 50.
In the last two years, we have learned quite a lot of stuff from our mistakes. Every week we try our best to be better and better in running TSQL Challenges. In 2 years we published 50 TSQL Challenges with the help of 15 Challenge Creators. 699 participants submitted over 3,500 solutions for the 50 different challenges and that produced 148 winners who have won one or more TSQL Challenges.
There are a lot of great people, the ‘Real Heroes’ who deserve all the credit for bringing TSQL Challenges to the current shape and format. I take this opportunities to thank them all for their support, contribution, advice and continuous participation in TSQL Challenges and their names are listed below (in no specific order).
- Rui Carvalho
- Brad Schulz
- Vijaya Krishna Kadiyala
- Barbarin David
- Peter Larsson

And then there are hundreds of other volunteers who helped in one way or another to make TSQL Challenges better and better. Looking back to where we started from we see that TSQL Challenges has grown up to be more organized and structured. However, there is still a long way to go and there are several dozens of action items in our list and we are working on them.
A BIG thanks to all of you who helped, contributed, advised and criticized to make TSQL Challenges a BIG success.
